The Approach
I combine a bottom-up and top-down approach in therapy, integrating both body-based and cognitive techniques to support deep healing.
My bottom-up approach focuses on how your body responds to the thoughts and emotions you bring to therapy. By using simple techniques such as mindfulness, self-compassion, and tuning into your body’s needs, we create space for the body to process and move through its trauma responses and patterns.
The 'top-down' aspect engages your thoughts, beliefs, and cognitive processing to help you make sense of experiences, reframe unhelpful patterns, and develop new ways of thinking.
By combining both approaches, therapy addresses healing at every level—helping you regulate emotions, process trauma, and build lasting resilience.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapy, mindfulness, and somatic parts work, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-informed models. I also incorporate journalling, meditation and self-awareness to support emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term well-being.
